LL Cool J was seen around town last week, still fit, still proving that he's got a warehouse of Youth Juice on stash. He's also still salty as a mutha over the promotion he got from Def Jam for his last album. Since Jay-Z was the man in charge, LL places all the blame on his shoulders. I've been an LL fan since he helped birth Def Jam (first artist on the label), found songs to like on his G.O.A.T. album, and on "Headsprung" from The Definition he had no problem keeping step with a Timbaland beat (Timbaland doesn't believe everyone can handle his concoctions.)
But truth be told, LL's last album, "Todd Smith" was a mish-mash of random collabos and patched up records that made no sense as an album. It was in one word - terrible.
LL has never lost a battle though and his continued anger at Jay-Z materialized in a verse this summer. Due to a slick line Jay-Z apparently made about him in the "I Get Money" remix LL's about to return his fury in the form of a 12 inch musical machete. As the newest artist on G-Unit and 50's loss to Kanye, you can best believe Curtis is going to be all for rocking Jay-Z's chin. more..
