Angell Conwell, Carl Payne, and Letoya Leckett were cast in the Gospel Music Channel's "For Richer or Poorer" TV mini-series, which filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina, over the weekend. This past Saturday the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network gathered at Miami, Florida's Jackie Gleason Theater for another stop of the financial literacy and empowerment tour, "Get Your Money Right." The program brings to light the important fundamentals of dealing with money. Check the racks of any bookstore and you'll find shelf after shelf of 'get those dollars right' books on the shelves, news articles about wrecked credit, etc; money management is a topic not really considered by most until the damage is done. By bringing along celebrities from the hip-hop and R&B world, the hope of the HSAN is that urban youth will take notice and pay attention to how they manage their cash before disconnects and collection letters start filling their inbox. Speakers on the panel included Letoya Luckett, Free, Ne-Yo, music video director, Little X, some misc. rappers you might not be aware of.. Belly, Joel Ortiz.. or expect to be there.. The track sounds hot as hell. And plus, she's working with different producers this time round. I am really excited about Letoya's new album.
