Last night was the 2008 ASCAP Rhythm and Soul Awards. Singing group New Edition was honored at the event, and received a Golden Note Award. But now on to the more important part of the night, the fashion. Many notable celebs came out, and some looked stylish, and some needed to fire their stylist.
Marsha Ambrosius from Floetry needed a mirror before she stepped out.
This is not a good look on her. Her shorts are too tight, and her top is not flattering on her. The only piece of her ensemble that is hot is her sequence clutch.
New Edition’s comeback attempt on Bad Boy Records didn’t quite work out. One Love gave way to one single, “Hot 2Nite.” They fought with Diddy over marketing and a tight budget, which caused the two to split before a second single could be squeezed out of the album.
Despite their lack of success in recent years, 08’ marks New Edition’s 25th Anniversary.
Tonight in Los Angeles at the 21st Annual Rhythm & Soul Music Awards, ASCAP will honor New Edition with the Golden Note Award. The Golden Note is given only to songwriters, composers, and artists who have achieved extraordinary career milestones.
ASCAP President and Chairman Marilyn Bergman reflected.. “Over the last 25 years, New Edition has experienced success on multiple levels to become true legends. The group has firmly left their mark on today’s music, and ASCAP is very proud to honor them.”
