Let's face it, Flex didn't give Nicki the tongue-lashing he should have, or at least hyped up at Summer Jam. One of the real problems with the interview was Peter Rosenberg, the person who made the comment, wasn't in on the call. Well he spoke to TMZ earlier and his explanation shows why he should've been.

"When I went out there I wasn't really thinking about it. I was trying to hype up all of the fans who were there to see Kendrick Lamar, School Boy Q and more underground acts, and yeah, that short of just came out. "

On Friday, Nicki Minaj debuted her video for "Stupid Hoe," the brain-draining single off her sophomore album Roman Reloaded. The video, directed by Hype Williams, who knows a thing or three about translating animated rappers to the screen, is colorful, flashy and multiplies Nicki's persona to eleven. That's the good. There she is: Nicki Minaj in a new promotional photo that she's calling "Samurai Nicki." It's a great, creative shot. Now if there is a music industry God, or an assistant that handles this aspect of keeping people entertained, it's part of a campaign for Nicki Minaj's debut album Pink Friday, tentatively set for release on November 23. Another day morning, another Nicki Minaj mention. Let's face it, it is impossible to have a legitimate conversation about who's hot in rap - male or female - without Nicki Minaj in the mix. While the industry's eyes were closed, Nicki went from nothing to someone all those industry types now want a piece of. How is your day after Christmas going? If you were in NYC you might be recovering from a wild night at M2 Mansion. After the day's presents were ripped open and chicken, turkey, and pies put down, Nicki Minaj made her way to the cavernous club for a scheduled appearance; Funkmaster Flex was spinning. Nicki Minaj is a name I've seen around the web a few times; she's down with Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment, but she's from New York. Her face popped up in XXL's "Show & Prove" section. I think I gave one of her songs a quick listen and wasn't that impressed. Maybe it'll take three or four times before I'm a believer. This happens. This Truth DVD Nicki Minaj interview clip will keep that multiple impression window open. In the first minute or so, she says.. "I got love for all female rappers.
