Friday was the first day physical copies of Watch the Throne were available to the public exclusively in Best Buy and Target. You had to get to them early; stores seemed to have a small supply and they went fast. If you live in New York there was another option. more..

Yesterday, students at PS 161 got a surprise while they were performing a dance routine to Beyonce's "Move Your Body." A shake here, a shake there, and Beyonce couldn't resist, she jumped in the front row and danced with them. The students were participating in a national simulcast of "Let's Move! You heard the news, Beyonce (29-years-old) is with child. You won't see a baby bump just yet, word is she's in her first trimester. Not shocked, but I am surprised: Sony has apparently blocked the music videos on Beyonce's official YouTube channel. The promotional pieces for House of Dereon are still available, but, try to get a third look at "Video Phone" and you get a message from YouTube's legal department, "This video contains content from Sony Music Entertainment, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds." more..

Beyonce approached Cadillac Records as a turning point in her 'acting' career. Finally she would get to be the bad girl. I don't think Beyonce was that convincing, but this isn't a movie review. She was proud of the job she did and Etta James co-signed her. Although Beyonce didn't live as hard a life as she did, Etta James said, "It's a privilege and an honor to have somebody like that girl. I don't think she looks like me, but that's all right. They can make that up." Beyonce and Etta James were pictured together at the Cadillac Records movie premiere. Beyonce was glowing. I saw Seven Pounds over the weekend, got home and read the reviews I stayed away from to keep the movie's twist wrapped tight. I suppose the people walking out of the theater should have been clue, but the real surprise was that the reviews were so harsh. Those people kicking rocks looked like folks looking for Will Smith to do the ol' shuck and jive. Make me laugh, funny man.. at least shoot somebody. Didn't know the whole world minus one, gave him the middle finger. Those of us who braved through it were left wondering if Seven Pounds referred to the weight of his heart or if it was the sum of his heart plus all the other body parts sewed on to people scattered around California. ← That's the twist. Will Smith comes out of this boxoffice blooper a lucky man, had it been a big hit, some big thinker would have had the time to ask if it might encourage some sad soul to take their own life. more..
