A Slice of The BET Awards: Alicia Keys and Dem’ Jeans!
From a (black) man’s point of view, that would have been all that’s needed to say about Alicia Keys performance at the BET Awards.
Then just as Alicia Keys shook her hip, for what looked like the freeze, she upstaged herself - changed the story - by bringing out SWV, En Vogue and TLC.
It’s been years since they’ve performed together at this kind of event and it showed. They all looked nervous - and rusty (skill-wise).
I’ll give it to Cindy of En Vogue, she fell right in place; ready to get it in for one or two more joints.
Some are calling this the performance of the night. Let’s call it the reminisce, where’s my old CDs, moment.

The music scene needs them to come back and they looked great. TLC, T-Boz, her voice sounded like cigarettes, but it was good to see them.

Damn those jeans. Now there is a REAL woman not all skin and bones. Just enough meat. Gets my vote for the best looking star out there.
