Barack Obama and the family

Barack Obama is the President of the United States!

He did it. Just taking in the moment(s).. to be continued.

☼ What's Your Opinion? ☼

1 We done did it man Wed, Nov 05, 2008 - 12:58 am

Yes he is, yes he is, and he deserves it. It is time for change. For all those stupid Sarah Palin idiots, where are you now? It didn’t work. The white house is Obama’s now. This ain’t about black or white, it’s about smart or dumb and the popular vote was too close and that shows me that about 40% of the American people aren’t too smart to still vote for McCain after he nominated Palin. GO OBAMA!!!

I dunno what to say….I’m dumbfounded. I’m happy, I’m scared, I’m excited. It’s like a bunch of feelings at once. What is one to do?!?!?! In the same instance I feel accomplished, I feel like we’ve “over come” it’s a variety of feelings and I’m just happy that I had a part in HISTORY that I help Get OBAMA to the white house, that I am a part of the change that I think is inevitable. I pray that things go smoothly, that everything is within it’s time.

I’m still nsure how to feel. My immidiate actoin is to be haoppy I can’t ven spell that’s how happy I am.

I’m happy.

I have no words for the sheer gratitude and sense of accomplishment I feel at this moment.  I don’t know if I ever thought this day could happen yet it is here.  We have struggled, we have been kicked down, and we continued to walk in the face of adversity and now all of our triumphs have culminated in the form of President Barack Obama.  Today is a day of celebration and I will not allow anyone to spoil this moment for me.  I can now for the first time say I truly am proud to be an American, and this is a land of opportunity and a place where dreams come true. As we celebrate tonight let us not forget all of those who have made this day possible.  I can now tell my future children that their dream to be president is not just a dream, but it can be a reality.
Congratulations Barack! This is not the end only the beginning! Difficult is not impossible!

American has spoken… A Great Change is Gonna Come!

6 Yes We Did! Wed, Nov 05, 2008 - 10:59 am

As a black man, I am so glad to be alive and to have had the opportunity to participate in this process and witness this outcome.  I am inspired to aspire for more of the seemingly impossible and to push myself beyond my comfort zone and dream bigger. I know that Obama won’t nearly be able to solve all of our problems nor do I expect him to, but his presidency should restore our faith in ourselves and prove to us all that there is hope.

As an American I am glad that the voice of the people will finally be heard and respected by a trustworthy leader who has ALL of our best interests at heart. A humble person who’s goal is to unify and not divide the people of this country.

10 SqBiz... Wed, Nov 05, 2008 - 2:28 pm

The last time my NY’ers embraced each other regardless of race, gender, political beliefs, religious background or whether they wore boxers or briefs was on that dark morning on 9/11/01. Everyone cared so much for any stranger walking their way and the love vibe was so sincere and genuine on that day. Well, last night brought me amongst all kinds of people from all over the world and we all celebrated together in this great victory, not only a great highlight in history but of great faith.  WE ALL MADE HISTORY BECAUSE WE ALL SPOKE AS ONE!!!

Everybody came together with the same concerns and dreams and i just want to thank anyone and everyone for the love, support, and for giving us the strength to move forward as one, just they way the almighty one wants us to. I love everyone that wrote their opinions on this site, you guys and ladies, we are America, we are the change that Obama speaks about and we are the ones who are gonna change how the world sees US.  We are beautiful people, whether you are white, black, hispanic, oriental, whether you are from Europe or the Middle East, Africa any part of this world, WE are All BEAUTIFUL!. WE MADE THIS HAPPEN!!!!

I second that SqBiz, it was a collaborative effort, and now the real change must occur.  I encourage everyone to take the same vigor and excitement they have now and apply it implementing real change to your local community.  This election is proof that together we can achieve.  Let this be the catalyst for real lasting collaborations between individuals and community. Difficult is not impossible, and dreams CAN and DO come true!
