Barack Obama Tackles “Lipstick on a Pig” on David Letterman
Yesterday, Barack Obama was on The Late Show with David Letterman. He was in New York for the 9/11 memorial. What a perfect time to visit Dave and tackle that lipstick on a pig dust up. If you haven’t been paying attention, in a recent campaign speech Barack Obama said..
John McCain’s camp immediately accused Barack Obama of twisting Sarah Palin’s “lipstick on a pitbull” line to call her a pig.
Books have been written about lipstick on pigs.
It’s a political expression that even John McCain has used, but for John McCain’s implanted brain (Karl Rove) it’s more fun for ‘sillier season.’
Barack Obama - Lipstick on a Pig?
“It’s a common expression in Illinois. I don’t know about New York City. I don’t know where you put lipstick on here. In Illinois the expression canotes that if you have a bad idea, in this case I was talking about John McCain’s economic plans, that just calling them change, calling them something different, doesn’t make it better. Hence.. lipstick on a pig. It’s still a pig.”
”... Keep it in mind that had I meant it in that way, she would have been the lipstick.”

Obama was very clever on the show. I love him so much and if he is ever looking for a young “intern” I will be there for him in a heartbeat. I have read that he has been conversing with Bill Clinton so maybe he is coaching him on the strong need for a young “inter” to help release some of his stress… yummy!
