This Saturday one of the biggest boxing matches in the last few years will take place in Las Vegas - Floyd Mayweather vs. Oscar de la Hoya.

Mayweather was on Best Damn last night, never at loss to talk about his own greatness, Mayweather was his usual yap and laughs. He also has a reputation for carrying thousands of dollars, betting and spending like the War of the Worlds is coming in hours.

When asked how much money he had in his pocket, Mayweather looked caught off guard.. “I just got out of the shower.”

Then he tells someone in his camp to hand him some money.. the person hands him 3 rubberband wrapped bundles of government greens. Mayweather kinda shook it up and down, and said.. “This is about 24 thousand. I don’t even have to count it. I can tell by how much it weighs in my hand.”

For those that don’t follow boxing at all, Floyd “Pretty Boy” Mayweather is one of 50 Cent’s ‘very rich friends”, the undefeated 37-0 four-belt champion. Considered to be the best pound-for-pound fighter in the ring.

As a Mayweather friend, on Saturday night 50 Cent will make his first performance of “Straight To The Bank” - you know, music for champions. Which 50 better hope is the case, he bet $1 million on the fight.

Nothing to do with selling his Connecticut estate though.. I’m guessing that’s a case of wasting money on a tremendous house, maintanance costs and all.. and there’s nothing but ‘the crew’ stinking up the couches.

Oscar “Golden Boy” De La Hoya is the Puerto Rican warrior who’s been around since the 90’s, held six titles, lost some, won, seen a lot. It’s actually incredible that he’s still in the ring.
