Iraq Demands Date for U.S. Troop Withdrawal; See Ya!

For the first time, Iraq’s government is demanding that a date be set for US troop withdrawal.

Yesterday, Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki spoke about the Status of Forces Agreement President Bush hoped Iraq’s parliament would sign by the end of July. In the agreement are details about keeping U.S. troops in the country for those.. 100 years, John McCain is so fond of.

Prime Minister Maliki feels that Iraq has crushed terrorism in the country and is capable of handling security concerns going forward. During a visit to the United Arab Emirates, Mailiki said, “The current trend is to reach an agreement on a memorandum of understanding either for the departure of the forces or to put a timetable on their withdrawal.”

You’d think this would be great news, but the Bush administration is acting as though they can’t understand the language. Bush said he opposes a timetable for withdrawal and White House spokesman Scott Stanzel confusingly replied..

Scott Stanzel

“It is important to understand that these are not talks on a hard date for a withdrawal. We are looking at conditions, and not calendars - and both sides are in agreement on this point.”

Let’s go back to what Maliki said.. “The current trend is to reach an agreement on either the departure of the forces or to put a timetable on their withdrawal.”

Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman spoke on Maliki’s comment as well.. “With respect to timetables, I would say - it is dependent on conditions on the ground.”

It’s pretty clear Iraqis want us out of their country.

For some reason we don’t want to leave..

Knowing that it will be next to impossible to achieve that goal with Bush in office, Maliki plans to stretch current negotiations until a new administration enters the White House.

Here’s a good question, if the goal was to get Iraq back on its feet, and they believe they are ready to take over..

Why are we still there?

Well i guess there is no more proof necessary to corroborate the fact that the U.S. was never there to “help” the Iraqui’s. Oil Oil Oil, they wont leave without it. It’s almost like they are saying they dont know what they are talking about they arent leaving./

Somebody had to demand a date. This dumb ass president that we have is too stupid to know that we need to get out of Iraq. How in the world did he get elected anyway? He has to be the dumbest president of all time.
