Nicole Scherzinger Holding Out For “The Hottest Man in the Universe”

Nicole Scherzinger is in this month’s Blender. The pics have been posted on blogs from here to Hong Kong (or Hawaii, her birthplace). It’s crazy, seeing her do a little striptease to work her album, but her entire career is based on how hot she is.

She already got people’s attention with the Pussy Cat Dolls and that little ditty with Diddy.. you’d think come solo album time, Nicole would elevate her game, but I’m not complaining.

Is this all an act to sell records though?

The Blender article seems to imply that; when Nicole is asked if she’s a ‘fembot’, she replies.. “I can play that role really well.”

To which Blender observed.. “That remark might be the best insight into how much of Scherzinger’s on-camera come-on is real, and how much is a role she’s playing. What may at first seem like ambivalence about her sexual image may just be the honest vagueness of pop stardom - a job that requires a person to present herself as a screen onto which fans project their fantasies.

Even when she’s dancing like a guttersnipe in heat, Nicole Scherzinger is not thinking about turning you on. She is thinking about doing her job, which is selling records, and becoming a star.”

Whether she has to get half-naked to do that is a subject for later.

A better question is who is she messing with?

Nicole says she’s been engaged twice, once to this guy.. and gets asked out by celebrities all the time, but she’s holding out for..

“The hottest man in the universe!”

That’s absolutely meaningless. Care to give a hint of who that is?..

“If I say one name of one dude, it’s all over, and it’s like, ‘Nicole’s a big loser.’ I’m not putting myself out for that, man. I’m no loser.

She continued, talking about how Hollywood types seem to pretend to be one thing, but are entirely different face to face..

“You get these crushes on guys, and then you meet them and you realize you just loved the role they were playing. Like, who doesn’t love Ryan Gosling after you see The Notebook? Then you meet the person and you’re like, Huh? What?”

Guess that means she’s every bit the ‘fembot’ she’s portraying.

Somebody look up fembot. I don’t even know what that is.
