Notorious B.I.G. Auditions Held in New York: Who’s Got the Look?
Last week, Beanie Sigel auditioned for the part of Notorious B.I.G. in the upcoming Fox Searchlight movie “Notorious.” The Broad street bully told MTV news.. “I don’t know nobody else in the rap game who could do it and pull it off, as far as who you believe, who’s lyrical enough and fits that image. If I’m watching that joint, I wouldn’t just want to see an [ordinary] actor. Some people might feel some type of way to see Beanie Sigel [playing] Biggie, I don’t know. But I’d love to have a shot at it.”
His East Coast roots and name recognized status doesn’t automatically get him the job, the movie’s producers are looking at all potential candidates, including unknown faces.
But what’s sup? How did Beanie’s audition go.. “You know how they say in Hollywood; ‘Don’t call us, we’ll call you.’ We’ll see. But if I was to get it, I’d love it.”
And with that, this Saturday the “Notorious” casting crew pushed off to the streets of Brooklyn to give some of Biggie’s hometown brethren a shot at stardom.
Entertainment Weekly pulled off a TMZ and took their cameras right outside the projects. Ask any one of the Biggie look-alikes and they’ll tell you they’re the man for the job.
But this guy, Big Wayne, is claiming he met Notorious B.I.G. and he thought Wayne was long lost fam.
“Ain’t nobody gonna believe this, but it’s a true story. I worked at Uptown when he got signed. Just after he got signed, he was under Uptown/Bad Boy. He was in the office all the time. People, when I first walked into the office, they was like, ‘What’s up Biggie?’”
“When I finally met him the first thing he said to me was, ‘Oh shit!’ He looked at me and was like, ‘Yo, the least you could do is come by and say hello to Moms.’ And I’m saying to myself,.. I hope this nigga don’t go out there and rob somebody, because they gonna get me. Haha.”

I have been this man’s friend for close to 20 years and what he tells you is very true. I have been in the streets with him and notice people stepping to turn around and look at this man.
I remember being on 42 street about the time B.I.G. was becoming a major player and everyone had a fit when this guy walked in thinking he was the real deal. Funny thing was I didn’t know who B.I.G. was at the time so I didnt understand the fuss was about, I do now!!!
Please give this guy a shot you can’t get any closer than this. Wayne is one of the best people you will ever meet. I love this man with all my heart and he will always be my best friend. He is B.I.G.

This guy looks like the Notorious B.I.G. Hopefully he could pull the acting and rapping part off. Beanie could give him a run for his money. I watched Beanie on BET 106 & Park and this guy rap and moved like Biggie.
