This was basically the second trial for the murders of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman. Maybe they got it right this time. But they don’t need to try to disguise that by saying that he’s getting 15 to life for trying to retrieve his own stuff.

Personally, I do think he got away with the murders or at least hired someone to commit them but still to give him 15 year to life for retrieving his own stuff isn’t fair. This is yet a case of the justice system unfairly treating a black man. When will it end??? When will it end???

Vick kills dogs and gets 25 months meanwhile That Palin woman is on video killing a moose and she gets nothing. Vick getting over 2 years for this is clearly unjust as well as OJ getting 15 to life for what he did. Had eVick or Simpson been white the sentences would have clearly been shorter.

Unforunately moose hunting isn’t illegal, and dog fighting is. I can agree that Vick was over punished but he did break the law. OJ just gave them the perfect opportunity to give him what he’s been asking for for the past 13 years. My suggestion is to make it a point to be more informed about your local and federal laws and associated punishments before getting involved in illegal activites. And if you’re black, ALWAYS assume that you’ll be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law if you’re ever caught breaking it.

What about change instead of always expecting the worst because we are black. Moose hunting isn’t illegal because white people do it. Had dog killing been first done by white people Mr. Vick would not be in jail. Instead of saying be informed about the laws before a person gets involved in illegal activities, what about treating a black person just as you would treat a white person. It’s sad to see that equality isn’t an option in 2008. Also if you are white ALWAYS assume that there are 2 sets of laws, one set for whites and another, much harsher, set for blacks is what you should really have said.

What about just obeying the law? These are the rules, and unfortunately until things change (or until blacks become more involved in the political and lawmaking process) we are forced to live by them. But knowing and understanding what you’re up against is always a good option for anyone who chooses to go against the grain.

What about obeying the law is very true but in the case that a person doesn’t obey the law they all should be handled equally. In some instances Blacks may not get a fair trial. However, thats not always the case. Jury’s are usually harder on senseless offenders of any race. OJ already had gotten off the hook for a MAJOR crime that he more than likely was guilty of, so I have no sympathy for his recent arrogant choices. Creating excuses for criminals is not acting black. And assuming every cop is a racist isn’t true and only adds to the problem. But back to the original topic, our judicial system is more about classism than racism. I’m not saying that racism isn’t present but like I’ve previously stated, the defendent with the best lawyer usually wins. Since most black criminals don’t have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of, they usually suffer the stiffer penalties. The same thing goes for poor lower class whites. Then when you factor in the absolute senselessness of some of the crimes and the high rate of these crimes it makes it easy for a jury of any race to throw the book at these fools. It has become so common that its easy for blacks to automatically assume that other blacks are criminals too. In addition, I’m no fool.
