Last Thursday morning, Voletta Wallace and her grandson Christoper Wallace Jr. were at NASDAQ’s Times Square headquarters to ring their opening bell. A new movie to promote gives you that kind of access. Christopher, as you know, is Biggie’s son, he turned 12 on October 29. I’m not sure if he has any interest in picking up a mic, but honestly, that’s a rough road to ride. Exceeding or even living up to his pop’s verbal gymnastics is just about impossible. Kind of like Michael Jordan’s son, he’s got to get to Lebron or Chris Paul’s level to impress anyone.
Since we’re in orbit of the financial world, now is a good time to talk about tomorrow’s debut of Thrasher TV Season 3. What’s that? The kind of financial news show that BET should pick up. It’s on Youtube. The E-pitch in their words..
“Thrasher Funds is an investment management firm that deals primarily with how youth culture, fashion and money intersect with the stock market. We specialize in educating, preparing and offering money management services to a new generation of investors.”
I found their videos last summer, James Perkins, the guy front and center, has been a guest on FOX Business news a few times. With the slump crashing of the stock market and the lack of investor confidence on Wall Street, I was wondering where they stood on the situation. ← They haven’t posted since September. We’ll find out tomorrow. The first episode of ‘09 should be up tomorrow. Here’s the Thrasher TV Youtube page and an older clip to give you an idea of the show..
