Barack Obama on Countdown with Keith Olberman

Barack Obama Talks Jeremiah Wright Controversy on Countdown With Keith Olberman

This afternoon, Jeremiah Wright was asked to step down from Barack Obama’s spiritual advisory committee. Tonight Barack Obama appeared on Countdown With Keith Olberman, which shows how damaging this situation is. I can’t remember when Keith Olberman has ever had anyone other than a talking head appear on his show.

Barack Obama said he hopes the American people will trust that what he believes, his values, his ideals, and what he’s spoken about in terms of bringing the country together during this campaign - and in his books - will override any guilt by association this might bring up.

1 Is Obama Wright? Sat, Mar 15, 2008 - 1:18 am

Not everyone can say they support any (political) thing their Pastor says so why would ANYONE hold Obama to a different standard WRIGHT or wrong?

How can anyone believe a liar such as Osama Obama.  Wrights diatribe was not political it was anti american preaching from the so called pulpit.

The Jeremiah Wright association will put a dent in Obama’s campaign. Not a good look.

Well, lets see if he can overcome this. Obama has never been tested (in media). In fact, I think this is only the beginning of the blood letting. If he comes out on top after this, then, I think his nomination will be well deserved. I don’t think he shares the views of Wright but in the media age, perception is the only thing that matters. The media will follow the popular narrative until it is challenged or dismissed outright.
Regardless, this may only stick with those who have no intention of supporting him. His traditional supporters will not leave but it could sway others who were thinking about joining his campaign. There is nothing more fearful to most Americans than an angry black man. If the pundits succeed in creating this narrative about Obama, then, it will be an uphill battle for him.

Whudat says, “I can’t remember when Keith Olberman has ever had anyone other than a talking head appear on his show.”

Olbermann was one of the first to interview Barack Obama while he was still weighing his decision to run. He’s had nearly all the Democratic candidates on Countdown at one time or other. Occasionally, Olbermann also interviews people who are the subjects of news stories—some funny, some serious. There used to be more such segments before the presidential campaign made “analysis” the main course almost every night.

In case your wondering what i’m talking about just go to google.com videos and click on clinton chronicles and mena cover up. now who want to explain what happen?.What about all those people killing themself about 26 around the same time and all those plane crashes. Someone please explain.I hope the clintons don’t get upset with me and have me (WACKED) it seem as though ever one who they had a problem with something really bad happen next!!Question for hillary they said bill had one wife and 126 girlfriends that he was sleeping with and a few of them had job in the clinton administration is that true?So that would make you an expert when it come to answering the phone at three in the morning “Hello hillary I’ll be working a little late for the next century”

9 I KNOW BOUT THIS TOO Mon, Mar 17, 2008 - 1:24 am

To the post above, you are right everyone that was going to testify against the Clinton’s or had information on them is ending up dead, crashing in planes, or comitting suicide. Can anyone explain this and it’s not 26 people it’s more like 50 people that ended up dead. What about this Clinton fans. This being said I would still vote for Hilary over any republican. That is how shady the government is.

The “Clinton Chronicles” was produced by a reich-wing smear group. Jerry Falwell sold it on his “religious” show. The Clintons have been investigated to within an inch of their lives, never mind everyone else’s! We taxpayers shelled out millions in the ‘90s chasing after rumors but no proof of anything approaching the picture that tape tried to paint was ever uncovered. The Clintons won’t be swiftboated—that will be one advantage if Hillary gets the nomination.

Over 50 people dead, how much of this is smearing before some of it is reality. Face it they are dirty and they have the money to get away with it. It’s the american way…

Lee, the “where there’s smoke” argument was what led to the original series of wasteful Starr investigations that culminated in a wasteful impeachment charade. The only positive thing it produced was the reassurance that’s there’s nothing left to be discovered.

On the other hand, no one knows anything about you or YOUR motives, Lee. If the Clinton Chronicles card is the card that Obama’s campaign was holding in reserve until it ran out of options, we know it’s in its last throes now.

Glenda, you don’t find 57 people that had some kind of evidence on the Clinton’s misteriously died in plane crashes, suicides, car accidents, and “natural causes”. One who died of natural causes they couldn’t even find his head. Come on now we all know that there are people that are guilty of crimes that are on the streets. Having said all this I would STILL vote for Hilary over any republican.
