Last night Nia Long was on The Late Show with Craig Ferguson, she had no movie to push, no perfume line in the works and thank God, she hasn’t transformed into a singer. Nia Long is starring in ABC’s new drama Big Shots. Elevator pitch.. it’s “the story of four friends who are at the top of their game until the women in their lives enter the room. These competitive but dysfunctional New York CEOs take refuge in their friendship, discussing business, confiding secrets, seeking advice and supporting one another through life’s twists and turns.”

Nia Long plays one of the CEO’s work wife. Anyone who’s worked in an office for a long time knows that it can become your second home. You’re there so much, you could find yourself being closer to the people in the office more so than your own family… or spouse. Nia Long’s that person to this guy, hence the “work wife” tag.

She was doing a lot of laughing during the interview, more than I’ve ever heard from her. My guess, Nia Long is very happy to be working (think Drama from Entourage to understand that from the acting perspective) and she’s also single, as she put it… “I’m having fun.”

Who is she dating? Who has she dated?

You won’t get any answers to that. I think she was confused by the question.

She did give a few “If you’re gonna date me rules” and also revealed she’s no fan of chocolate milk, strawberry milk.. It all makes her gassy.
