Doing Way Too Much: Rap-Up Covers Keri Hilson .. Solange Knowles .. and Teyana Taylor
Rap-Up magazine’s latest cover features Keri Hilson, Solange Knowles, and Teyana Taylor. I think it looks like the 80’s threw up all over this cover. I do like some of the 80’s styles, but this is overkill. The only one that looks ok is, Keri Hilson. Solange’s outfit is a hot mess, and the two-toned tights just make it look foolish. Teyana’s ensemble looks like something Lil Mama would wear. It would’ve looked a lot better without the sneakers, and hot pink glove.

Actually, I applaud Teyana and Solange. Keri looks cute but she doesn’t stand out. As far as music and introductions to new people, I am more apt to google Teyana and Solange and see what they’re working with than Keri. She looks like something I’ve seen before. She looks manufactured. Cute, but manufactured.
I agree with RedPoetist. I’m very to keen to innovation and Solange and Teyana are definitely bringing it in an industry that’s full of the same thing over and over. Keri is definitely a great writer…but as a solo artist, she sounds just like the rest of the artists she writes for. As far as style goes…Solange has had it all over these two this year. keri’s bob has become the norm, and Teyana’s obvious 80s style is a hot trend, but Solange has made sure to come out soooo different that no one can touch her. I read in an interview that she looks at clothes like works of art and if art is being spoken to from the outfit, she won’t wear it.
These are young girls trying to be different. Stop the hating!!! Bet you wish you were on the cover but you are not, sorry! So voice your opinion if you like but, these girls are going to keep on rocking Stand by for take off.<3
i think that that the cover looks very hot and all three ladies have done really great work in the music industry they dont have any bad publiciy like brinty spears and lindlisy lohan
